Concerns about Indymedia being abused by racists involved in editorial and control of the network. Legal group monitoring Indymedia and report will; be published before the New Year.

Dear Indymedia, London
We write to inform you of our concerns about some of your practices.
We have been following Indymedia, editorial practices. On that basis, we can say that you are censoring certain items and your ‘volunteers’ are faking ‘comments’.
We shall post our next report on Indymedia. The report is due in a few weeks time.
Our terms of reference include the Race Relations Acts, the Human Rights Act and the laws concerning broadcasting and publishing on the Internet.

Betcha the charge will be that Indymedia's practising "anti-semitism". Seem to have heard that one countless times at anyone who dares to oppose or criticize Israeli foreign policy ... wait and see!;^)

It will be interesting to see what this reports alleges against Indymedia's core group of volunteers. However, in their defence I have found IMC volunteers to be hard working and dedicated to operating within the progressive ideals they set out with in 1999. The real threat to Indymedia's credibility has always come from the odder wings of the anti-globalisation movement - the religionists, sectarians and boys whose testosterone fuelled slanging matches dominates the most sensitive threads.
