She just got a reply from the Anti-Terrorist Police in Britain. She wanted the times of the trains and the bombers movements.

They told her to get lost.

They say it would not be in the public interest to release such information. What about Freedom of Information? Why the secrecy? What on Earth is going on?

Considering there is still an ongoing criminal investigation into the attacks the police won't release any information unless they think it will be useful to them. You could argue that this is against the right to free information, but you wouldn't expect police to release all the information about a murder/rape/burglary etc. that they might have.

Hey, I'm going to call myself a "Citizen-Investigator" and do a FOI request for the police papers in respect of the ongoing investigation into a recent burglary at my house! Fantastic! Of course any court case will be blown out the water, but its FOI so tell me!

I demand to know where Bridget Dunne was on that fateful day and demand she publish unexurgated copies of here telephone records and financial transactions for the last year including that day. I want to know who she is sleeping with and whether or not she is a member or even has been a member of the Communist Party.

Nobody in power gives a damn what's publised here. Interesting metaphor though: how far down the "food chain" do you consider yourself? Amoeba? Nirogenous waste???
