I'm not an IM guy but I'd imagine if there are actual guidelines then a good place to look for them would be under 'Editorial Guidelines', a link which seems to appear at the top of every IM page. Never clicked on it myself but then I'd never complain when I'm deleted for breaching them. Every website edits and cuts - its normal 'housekeeping' and while some of it may seem unfair and arbitary, it happens on every website on the internet, and if you ran your own website then you'd be forced to do the same. If you can find a single website where every comment is permissible then please let me know.
Since none of our posts here are particularly informative I suspect this thread will self-destruct in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ...
