The American Civil Liberties Union publishes data obtained under FOIA on prisoner deaths in US custody and finds much to be concerned about.

Many of the deaths are listed clearly as homocides, but there seems to be the potential for many deaths being the result of torture.

"There is no question that U.S. interrogations have resulted in deaths," said Anthony D. Romero, ACLU's executive director. "High-ranking officials who knew about the torture and sat on their hands and those who created and endorsed these policies must be held accountable."
