Perhaps the author of the article would like to inform us of EXACTLY how many black american males have been falsely accused of rape, and have been executed or served decades inprison before being declared innocent.

Perhaps the author would like to inform us of the number of males that have been falsely accused of rape in the UK, even to the extent of their perjuring accusers now receiving prison sentences for their lies.

Perhaps the author would like to remind us that the Mike Tyson trial was a "beauty contest" where the ONLY real evidence was one person's word against another.

Perhaps the author would like to explain to us why it is OBVIOUS that some men are criminal enough to rape, but NOT obvious that some women are criminal enough to lie about having been raped.

One of the greatest acts of sexism is to say "why would a women lie about being raped". Probably because the answer "for the same reason as a man might rape, because they are both criminally inclined" is strangely never accepted by people like those that post the article above.

I might also ask why the above poster DID NOT ARRANGE A BOYCOTT OF THE ROMAN POLANSKI FILM 'OLIVER TWIST', given that Polanski hides out in France to avoid a prison sentence in the USA for drugging and anally raping a child (and the rape was FORCED, not statutary as certain child rape apologists- like the BBC- tell the uniformed). Funny how SOME people have their careers ruined by their crimes, and others flourish. Not that for ONE MOMENT would I suggest it has to do with the ethnic and religious background of the person. Now what is Mike Tyson again? a muslim? and what is Polanski? (who made the film The Pianist on the specific advice of his best chum Spielberg as the best way to worm his way back into the States).

Quite a defence of a rapist's right to make money doing 'gentlemans' dinner soirees.

Throwing in comments about his ethnicity doesn't cut it... especially when it comes with a dash of misogyny and anti-semitism.

I dont know the exact stats for how many black men are accused of rape but I know how many women are subjected to abuse from men - 1 in 3. I also know that 3 women are murdered a week in the UK by their current or ex partner(male).
As for the argument that women falsely accuse man of rape is proposterous. This myth prevents many women from reporting rape to the Police as they fear they will not be believed thereby actually allowing thousands of men (black and white) to 'get away with it'.

I don't know where "twilight" got their information about the Polanski case, but he or she is clearly wrong. Polanski pleaded guilty to the statutory rape charge, and was never found guilty of forcibly raping anyone.

Mike Tyson's visit to Derby turned into a brawl today (just a few hours ago). Lots of Police and blood on a few people. Apparently local semi-pro and pro boxers (of rival gangs) had turned up to the gig. Had there was a massive fight between them. We saw Mike come out surrounded be bodyguards and Police, then he tried to run back in and they followed.
The gangs kicked of later in town as well. I hear it was at Eden the strip joint. Anyway the whole thing ended very early!
