Fight for a living wage

After battles upon battles, Queen Mary's College still hasn't got the message! Demo planned for Thursday 27th October, 4pm, Bancroft Road E1
Following the success of Queen Mary's staff students and other s to persuade college authorities to pay their own workers a decent wage, there has been a decision to not include subcontracted workers (largely cleaning staff) in this decision. Furthermore, the college leadership has repeatedly refused to meet with organisers from the campaign to even discuss the issue.
Last week a meeting was held by the subcontracted workers, in which they felt the need to wear masks, lest their identities be discovered. They feared they would be sacked if discovered.
This really must stop. There will be a rally on Queen Mary Mile End Campus at 4pm on Thursday 27th October. Meet on Bancroft Road outside the Union.
