Marks & Spencer Boycott

Julie Charles, ExMaS Campaign Coordinator | 20.10.2005 08:07 | London

We are hoping to build up a nationwide weekly picket at most branches of M & S around the country.

We have been protesting in Worcester for the last three years with a weekly Thursday lunch time event. At the first National Boycott Campaign meeting in Birmingham last night we decided on three pickets today.

We know that there are other groups of students in Manchester and Norwich(?) who have been doing regular protests over the last couple of years but seem to have given up. (I know it gets difficult during the summer when protesters tend to go off on their extended summer holidays, and their are many other gatherings and parties to go to).

If any of those groups could contact EXMAS (Exterminate Marks and Spencer) on 02476 505 727 and ask we could coordinate and lend support and advice.

Lunch-time pickets TODAY:

All Meet at 12 noon today, Thursday October 20

at
Coventry
Lower precinct by the fountain.

and at
Birmingham
Pallisades shoping Centre next the sculpture of the Bull

and at
Ealing
outside M&S (or 10:30am Ealing Broadway tube for M&S for Londowide Boycott Planning Meeting)
