ID Cards My Thoughts

"Unlike other forms of information, such as credit card details, if core biometric details such as your fingerprints are compromised, it is not going to be possible to provide you with new ones," - Mr Fishenden, national technology officer for Microsoft

This is what I found in the Scotsman newspaper in  http://news.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=2103982005
Very nice thought as I realised some time back how dangerous this is. Now if I wanted the Birth Certificate number of some one else; I have to know the mother's maiden name etc of that person and apply to Registrar of Births and Deaths. Then to get the person's national insurance number I have to take another route. Like that there are so many different routes to take to get a comprehensive ID of another person.
But this new system puts the criminals ideally in one route to take. I hope the honourable MPs get wise to this fact at least let alone the other Human Rights problems
