Veggies - 21 Years and Counting!
Pat at Veggies & Notts IMC | 17.10.2005 14:55 | Animal Liberation | Culture | Ecology
Veggies is a catering campaign that has catered for and supported a huge range of groups campaigning for animal and human rights and social justice for the last 21 years. Since 1984 Veggies volunteers have been frying 'veggie-burgers', selling 'samosas for social change' and distributing a large range of leaflets, booklets and magazines.
Besides touring the country, catering at actions, demonstrations, festivals, fairs and meetings, Veggies play a vital role in the running of the Sumac Centre, the publishing of the Veggies Directory and putting together the Veggies Diary. Join us to celebrate! Tuesday 18th October from 8pm at the Sumac Social Club bar, with buffet provided.

We've started a brainstorm of tasks at http://www.veggies.org.uk/arc/event.php?ref=454
--------------
Veggies have also launced an online forum for like-minded and associated groups to use to announce and develop new projects and campaigns, to discuss related issues and to comment specifically on the work of Veggies and the Sumac Centre.

This is very much a draft, work-in-progress, to brainstorm how a much better forum would be structured. Suggestions on other free forum sortware, without poop-ups and other crap advertising are welcome. New submissions are welcome on subjects supported by the work of Veggies Catering Campaign, ie campaigns for human and animal rights, environmental concerns, peace, co-operation and social justice worldwide.
