tonight a really stirring meeting in an old methodist hall that managed to bring together bishops and muslims, sikhs and trade unionists, anti-nuclear protestors and labour mps, lib dems and liberty campaigners, green party members and guardian journalists. oh, and the mayor of london and a labour man who stood as mayor of london.
