Fasting in London in a climate of supine mainstream 'opposition' at the end of the annual Circus of seaside conferences staged via the BBC to send sense to sleep!
Ramadan 2005 - Day 5
Fasting is to stop dependence on
The body
And on all claims
That matter matters most
not just the spirit
The defiance is against the contents
The material basis of the majority fraud
That constitutes social priorities
Outside of voluntary fasting
Fasting is to think
beyond the image of the near dead
like the man they again showed on the
TV and video streams
as if their commercial exhibition
of the man equalled action
to stop generations being
pushed into hunger and famine
Fasting is to think of hunger inside
fasting is to feel anger inside
fasting is think why
fasting is to think of how many
men
women
children
others
denied deprived disabled displaced
destitute
why?
how do the fasters justify
not thinking of the involuntary
fasters
the involuntary sufferers
of fast
hunger
starvation
and famine?
How many in London
have been forced to fast
not because they chose to
not because they were Muslims
not because they wanted to
but because they lost their jobs
because they lost their income
because they upset someone
who controlled their life?
How many civil courts in London
gave orders for eviction against
how many families, tenants
occupants this week?
How many hitherto dignified
individuals were turned into trash
because a civil court judge refused
to listen to what they had to say ?
How many in London are
secretly suffering hunger
because they are too proud
to admit to what has happened?
Who is taking them into heart ?
How many news events have been
organised by funded fronts
of Tony Blair’s ‘inclusive’ deprivation
propaganda?
Fasting is to think of these people
who don’t have to fast because of any faith
but who have been forced to fast
by pretenders to some religious faith..
Fasting is to know the truth
to re-establish the courage to know the truth
that no opposition to injustice can
come from any desire to take the
place of the unjust holder of the
power
as we saw the supine words
the selfish words
the possessive words
the greedy words
the ambitious words
the careerist words
the uncaring words
the faked words
the misleading words
the tricky words
the confected words
the untruthful words
remote words
the sanitised words
the lying words
Fasting is to know
And to note and to
Believe in the capacity
To extend all that the
Faster has of the soul
Of the heart of the mind
Of the humanity
To then neighbour
Next door
Next Street
Next County
Next town
Next city
Next country
And to identify with the
Involuntary faster
The involuntary
Loser of income
The involuntary defaulter
Of a negligent
Cruel uncaring
Court decreed fine
The faster has a duty
Far more demanding
Than the mere act
The mere fact
of physical fasting…”
