Graffiti Gallery Project
Art sparks - A Festival for young people - took place at venues across Nottingham. The project included the City Council, major arts venues and organisations, over 20 schools, plus clubs, agencies and community organisations that work with young people, the Youth Council, Fallen Angel Project and Millenium volunteers. It was the first festival of it's kind in Nottingham, featuring some brilliant events and workshops for young uns.

One of the highlights was the Graffiti Gallery project & exhibition that City Arts organised in partnership with Creative Room. Thanks to them for the pictures...

City Arts is a voluntary sector, participatory arts organisation with charitable status, based at the Art Exchange, in Nottingham's Hyson Green. They develop all kinds of arts projects citywide, recognising the term "arts" in the widest possible sense.

City Arts generates opportunities for the people of Nottingham to enhance their lives through creative activities, and by participating in the cultural life of the city. They are committed to ensuring that this experience is available to everyone.

City Arts targets people who have very little access to arts provision. They encourage life long learning and personal development, and use arts projects to tackle social exclusion. They achieve this by working in partnership with other key agencies and organisations, promoting community development, health and education.
