What would be really useful here would be if anyone could publish names and addresses of EDO directors plus any major share holders. I'm sure it is possible to find this out but if anyone has already done the research then please share it.
I'm sure many would appreciated being able to try explaining the error of EDO's ways to the organ grinders themselves.

In case you had not noticed from reading IMC UK, the directors of EDO are now 'protected persons' under the interim injunction. Even though these names and adresses are in the public domain, going anywhere near their homes to protest means likely instant arrest and possible five year prison sentence as breach of the court order. This applies to anyone and not just those named on the injunction.

Its also worth noting that someone in Brighton was arrested detained and had his flat searched by Special Branch last year for allegedly downloading such director information from companies house.

It is also worth noting that EDO have used comments posted on Indymedia UK to gather most of their evidence for alleged harassment.

This is not meant to intimidate you or stop you protesting but to inform you of the risks involved.

People like Fred are simply EDO Trolls who are trying to get nieve people to breach the injunction by placing the names and the address of those whom work for EDO. This is not the first time this has been tried by EDO Trolls

Take serious notice what Bob has said and DO NOT PLACE THE NAMES AND ADDRESSES of those who work for EDO. In fact, don't even bother justifing the comments made by trolls by not replying to them!!

The injuction only applies to the following: named defendants, people acting as the 'servants' or 'agents' of the named defendants, people acting 'in concert' with the named defendants, and non-defendants who have been served with the injuction papers at the protests at the factory site. If you are not in any of the above catagories, you can't possibly knowingly breach the injunction and you could independantly research and publish names and addresses of the directors without breaking the law. Try companies house, be careful but don't let yourself be intimidated by scaremongering attention-seekers. The authorities can't shut us all up!

I don't condemn home demos of the type used by the animal rights movement outright, but I do have serious reservations about how justified and effective they really are. If a group of protesters is percieved to be harrassing and intimidating someone at home, the neighbours will quite often rally round the target, which is obviously counter-productive if the intent of the home demos are to isolate and shame the target in their own neigbourhood. There is also the question of the target's family. If my dad was an arms dealer, I wouldn't want my homelife made hell because of him.

Leafleting and putting up posters naming and shaming these individuals in their neighbourhoods seems to be a more justified and effective tactic. One EDO MBM director had his neigbourhood postered last year, and some of his neigbours stopped speaking to him after they found out what he does for a living. In his own words he said he was "made to feel like a criminal".

I agree that outright intimidation is not justified against arms dealers, vivisectionist and other such scum, but these people should be named and shamed.
