The Iranian workers are not alone!
A joint call by a number of Left and Worker organisations for
A week of Solidarity with Iranian workers

October 3-9, 2005

We, the signatories of this leaflet announce in a loud and clear voice that the Iranian workers and toilers are not alone in their struggle against the constant attacks of the capitalist regime of the Islamic Republic in Iran, a government that is depriving workers of their most basic rights.

Our aim is to support and defend workers, who are insulted, threatened and killed by the repressive capitalist order in power in Iran. We are calling on you to support the following demands of Iranian workers:

1-Recognition of the workers’ right to strike, to set up their own independent workers organisations, the right to free speech, the right to assembly…

2-An end to all intimidation and attacks on workers, including physical attacks, imprisonment, torture and execution of workers and toilers in the Kurdish areas

3-Unconditional release of all political prisoners

In the week of solidarity with Iranian Workers we will be active on an international scale in every city and town, to organise demonstrations, pickets in front of Iranian embassies, consulates... We will organise meetings in the language of the host country to raise the issues concerning Iranian workers, we will collect funds to support workers’ hardship funds, we will try and speak in local and national radio and television stations and we will address the trade union movement in the host nation to call for practical solidarity with Iranian workers.

Fellow workers comrades!

Sign this petition; join us in an International Campaign to defend Iranian workers.

Let us transform the first week of October into a week of solidarity with Iranian workers.

Let us make sure that progressive forces throughout the world hear the voice of Iranian workers, in every factory, in every workplace, let us raise the slogans 'Iranian workers are not alone'.

More psy-ops from Blair and his New Reich

28.09.2005 15:38

Yeah, they won't be alone for long- soon they'll have Blair's nice cosy NUKES to keep them warm.

What is interesting is that Blair and MI6 are going to have to waste a large number of their assets over these programs. Each of these lists basically says "look at me, I secretly work for Blair and his people". Not all will fall into that category, many will be simple dupes. But then, who will be stupid enough to give them the benefit of the doubt in the future?

Psy ops under the bed

Oh fuck off ''twilight'' you nutter. Seriously you're obviously just making a nuisance of yourself since you have nothing useful to say about the middle east other than some froth mouthed mumbling about ''psy-ops''. Combined with the random comments about ''racist jewish propaganda'' (not that that phrase even makes any sense whatsoever), and the bizarre way you in other posts have insisted on capitalising words with apprently no real pattern at all, it would lead me to suspect that you are slightly insane.

Typical Manipulation, Right On Cue

Magoo (aka "Lefty") I think you're actually referring to Zionist or Israeli propaganda, since this is actually who is driving these Neo-Fascist, Aggressive policies from a purely Ideological perspective. This is becoming much easier to observe, since Bush/PNAC/Blair have lost most of their base of support.

And I think "twilight" is referring to the timing of such articles, just as these groups are attempting to force yet another war of aggression upon the people of Iran, keeping in mind US covert support for things such as the "Orange Revolution" in the Ukraine, and infiltrations of all kinds.

It's great that the Iranian People are awakening, and pushing for change within their country.

This does not mean that they welcome US/UK military aggression and/or occupation, or intervention from the Government of these countries, who have their own interests solely at heart.
