This is the sort of nonsense which is damaging indymedia.

Surely PM Blair is entitled to suggest that the BBC is occasionally biased. There has been an undoubted anti-Bush / anti-US slant to much of the BBC coverage of the New Orleans disaster. Why not admit the truth?

The stuff about slander makes me sick. Surely this site is about freedom of expression (with out the need for our bewigged friends to get involved).

The stuff about resignation is naive in the extreme.

Blair is trying to distract people from the fact that the BBC is purely a government controlled propaganda tool.

Anyone watching the news throughout the aftermath of Hurracaine Katrina will have seen that far from exposing the corruption and chaos of the American Government and its associated agencies and the inadequate response, the BBC concentrated on personal pieces and interviews with token 'survivors' who in almost all cases were carefully managed to preclude any with serious anti US sentiments.
The BBC was watered down and vanilla in its reporting, almost to the point of falling into a catergory know as 'offensively bland journalism'.
Blair is either a crafty manipulator trying to distract people from the fact the BBC isn't a credible news source, willing to challenge inept and dangerously corrupt government, or he is a total idiot out of touch with reality.

The Israelis are always going off about how the BBC is biased on the side of the palestinians, sounds a bit sick but as hitler always used to say keep repeating the lie and it will become the truth. Bliar is obviously becoming a dab hand.

The old "boss has fallen out with loyal servant" trick. Once again, this is standard practice in the world of psy-ops.

To give a different example, the BBC has MOCK fallings out with Israel on a semi-regular basis. The BBC pushes a hardline pro-Israel slant (and for any of you tedious idiots that wish to deny this, the metric that is measured concerns language and time given to pro-Israeli stories vs anti-Israeli). The pro-Israel slant is hardly surprising, given the extraordinary amount of jewish control of British broadcast media, especially the BBC. Anyway, periodically the level of the slant becomes so embarassing and potentially obvious to even the most simple minded viewer, that the BBC arranges a controversial pro-arab program, and a phoney clash with Israeli authority. Standard methodology, and very basic stuff.

Now the BBC is ramping up its anti-muslim rhetoric to record levels. There is an obvious danger that this racist programming will be seen as the simple behest of Blair (which it is). To counter this, Blair has a "I hate the BBC" story crudely planted, and has his goons post here and elsewhere psy-ops crap that agree with the main premise of the operation, while APPEARING to be attacks on Blair OR the BBC.

That is- someone will post "the BBC did attack the USA, and deserves to be criticised" or "the BBC loved Blair, but now it is his enemy, and can work on our side". All very sad, very predictable, and one wonders who the hell it is supposed to fool!

Question- now the election is over, what is more useful to Blair? The BBC appearing to support him personally? Or the BBC supporting his causes and arguments? Think about it, and you will easily conclude the later!

BY THE WAY, count the number of times you are told Blair is someone's puppet or ass-kisser. Now ask why! The greatest BLACK PROPAGANDA campaign that has been/is being run concerns the status of Blair. Blair has ABSOLUTE control of the UK after a third election, with the support of 20% of the voters, and Blair is a puppet??? Who the hell is supposed to believe this crap??? But Blair wins, because his TRUE opponents only seem to indulge in wishful thinking, NEVER accurate thinking based on REAL facts.

When someone from one of the supposed opposition movements tells you that Blair is a 'puppet', you've just been spoken to by one of Blair's own embedded goons! Just remember that Blair has taken the US from being so terrified of fighting on the ground that it cheered the film 'Black Hawk Down' as a salutory warning, to being so happy to fight that it doesn't care HOW MANY US soldiers are lost in the pointless (to the US public) war in Iraq. Prior to Blair, the practice of US power on-the-ground post-Vietnam was none existent. Now, thanks to Blair, the world is convinced that NOTHING is beyond the pale militarily for America.
