On the 14 September 2005, a solidarity vigil against the DSEi Arms Fair in London took place in Bristol.
Extract from the original posting on Bristol Indymedia: 'DSEi (Defence Systems & Equipment International) which is the worlds largest arms fair and is taking place at the Excel centre in east London, 13 - 16 September. There will no doubt be unprecedented security as dubious corporations & regimes (and not so dubious corps & regimes!) sell arms to each other, that may well be ultimately be used to blow each other up - we of course will just be collateral damage.
The vigil (was held) at the same time as the historic 'Bristol
peace vigill', namely 5pm, opposite the Hippodrome, St Augustines Parade, central Bristol.'
