A small report about a van that was used to road block and disrupt dsei on a warm overcast wednesday morning.

Wednesday 14th September 2005.

At 11am a van bereft of a driver blocked Lower Lea Crossing, a road off a roundabout, beneath a bridge short of the Excel Centre by a mile. The road block saw half an hour of tail backs, redirection of traffic and anticipated disruption for the Arms Fair. On close inspection police found the van with its tyres slashed and on opening the back doors discovered what looked like a small red brick building; a three foot squared, brick block wedged through a gap of the van floor sitting firmly on the road. The van was removed using a fork lift truck. There have been two arrests in connection with this action.
