A very recent story has the racist leaders of Canada proudly declaring that they won't allow Muslims that agree, to use Islamic religious law to settle SOME family disputes, in special courts. Ah, I feel the fools at my throat round about now- for what I didn't yet say is that CHRISTIANS, and especially JEWS have been allowed to do precisely this for years in Canada (using their own traditions). It was only when the muslims asked for the same privilege that the racist leaders of Canada screamed abuse at the muslims, and promised to amend the law to make this impossible! Now personally I'm all for religion being kept out of EVERYTHING except the CONSENTING minds of individual adults. However, the action of Canada was not secular, but racist.

Anyway, back to the terrorists of Israel. They threatened in return to have members of the British Army arrested for war-crimes. Damn, if this is not the perfect definition of an EMPTY THREAT. After all, Sharon could not be happier with the progress made by his best buddy Blair, and must wonder how anybody in Israel could be stupid enough to not understand why Blair is currently paying lip service to his (very temporary) 'what is good for the goose...' policy.

However, if anti-Blair forces were on the ball, they would draw up a comprehensive list of people worthy of arrest for crimes against humanity. It would only be a thorn in his side, but publicising each named war-criminal would hurt the reputation of Blair's friends, and by association, him.

I don't particularly care about the Israel-Palestine conflict so I don't see why we should get involved in all this. Arresting this guy would just have resulted in an expensive show trail, appeals, ect. I think we should just be neutral in the whole thing. Their struggle, their problem.

If the UK ever arrests an Israeli general they will open the door for their own generals to be arrested for fighting an illegal war and genocide.

What do all these military leaders have in common which stopped them being arrested for henious crimes wheras the Israeli Maj. Gen. was to be arrested?

The duplicity of these actions is demonstrative of the special treatment given to Israeli people; criticism not received by others involved in far worse practices; there is only one reason for this.

The Geneva Convention specifically forbids the transfer of the occupiers civiulians onto occupied land.

Feel free to condemn frequent attacks by the Israeli army on West Bank mosques anytime you feel like it though.
