Just not right

The simply disgusting anti semitism on Indymedia is getting worse by the day.

An article ( https://publish.indymedia.org.uk/en/2005/09/322925.html ) which questioned why Israel is attracting an ever increasing number of tourists and El Al getting more passengers received a number of interesting and thought provoking comments which showed how ordinary Jews and Muslims, Israelis and Arabs were working together to solve problems and bring about change in the area.

Because this didn't fit in with the offical Indymedia view which has too keep alive the old outdated idea of Jews and Arabs hating each other all the comments were removed and the original piece transfered to the 'hidden' section.

Who makes these decisions ? What Editorial Guideline did it break ? - The answer of course is that no guidelines were broken and the decision makers hide in the shadows behind non existent email addresses and fake names. Anyone ever try to join the IM editors ? Ever had an answer back to an enquiry about being involved ? - of course not, the reality of Indymedia being an "open" media is rubbish, it's all a sham

Of course this post will be hidden or removed altogether because to challenge the Indymedia status quo is the ultimate taboo

As the "interesting comments" never appeared on the newswire - chances are they all came from the same person - and this one, and no doubt the original article.

Why don't you give a source for the claim that 25% more tourists are visiting Israel, along with an explanation of how that is news that IMC readers should be interested in - and maybe it will be shown then.

Cos, I'm sure you wrote the article too.

Do you know what a "troll" is?

Bet you are

The link doesn't work.

What was the point of the original post? - was it:

a) To boast that more tourists are going to Israel.

b) A complaint that "non Jewish" people were visiting Israel?

c) A suggestion that "Indymedia" should do more to stop tourism to Israel?

d) sneering at Indymedia activists by a zionist troll?

It is incumbent on the author of a post to provide some kind of source - its not exactly a riveting topic is it?

I would have thought that reference to "non-Jewish" tourists was a clear indication of a racist agenda - and that the only groups who equate Israel and Jewishness are zionists and fascists.
