Ketamine cheapest in Notts

A few days ago reports started to appear in media that Ketamine, an anaesthetic normally used by vets, is getting more and more used as a club drug. Nottingham now is apperently the cheapest place to get it. Apperently costing an average of £31 a gram in the UK, in Nottingham the prices can be as low as £15. At the moment the drug is legal to carry, but new legislation will see it become a class C drug soon.

Chemical name: Cyclohexanone derivative

Slang: Special K

Form: It's an anaesthetic, which comes as a powder or a tablet.

Effects:

* It has strong hallucinogenic and painkilling properties - people have reported various responses, including out of body experiences, complete numbness and memory loss.
* The drug is very dose specific, with high doses bringing on a very strong trip that many may find disturbing.
* Some tablets sold as ecstasy have ketamine in them, resulting in an unwanted and often frightening trip.

Risks: The long-term effects are as yet unknown. It's dangerous to mix ketamine with alcohol and/or other depressants.

Law: Controlled under the Medicines Act 1968

Ketamine is far cheaper in other areas. It has been sold for as little as £5 a gram in London squat parties

I rremember the early ninties....

In the early ninties in north wales the rave scene was going full tilt.Ketamine was a popular drug even then...You could always tell who the K heads were from their rolling eyes,inability to speak\walk.I remember finding out that K was an animal tranquiliser,and thinking "wow that sounds really safe!!! think i`ll stick to my Vodka and redbulls."Im surprised to see K making a comeback,as it really didnt look much fun at all from what i could tell.
