'Manchester Asboconcern' Launch Meeting

Asbos are being dished out in record numbers across the UK and
Manchester is the worst culprit, so we're pleased to announce the
launch meeting of our first local campaign group 'Manchester Asboconcern'

We want to get publicity for this meeting out to as many people as
possible, so please spread the word!

'Manchester Asboconcern' Launch Meeting
Monday 12th September - 7pm start

Venue: Cross Street Chapel, Cross Street, Manchester

Speakers include:
o Eric Allison - Prisons correspondent at the Guardian newspaper
(chair)
o Jane Lambert - NAPO Manchester
o Sylvia McDowell - Salford Community Development Worker
o Matt Foot - Asbooncern national coordinator
o A young person will also be speaking about his experiences of being
given an asbo

This is a public meeting and all are welcome, so if you share our
concerns about the use of asbos or want to find out more about the campaign
join us at the launch.

o Matt Foot - Asbooncern national coordinator
prominent SWP member.
Hopefully though ASBOconcern is a good thing, not just another front on the bandwagon. Just 'cos they're involved doesn't necessarily mean it's tainted.
