Gathering Info

20.08.2005 07:59

Hey Glasgow,

Whilst you are all gathered, can you be sure that people know that the G8 Legal volunteers still need people to come forward with their footage of arrests. Anyone who filmed, photographed or witnessed an arrest can help people stay out of prison.

More info:  http://g8legalsupport.info/2005/08/05/witness-film-evidence-appeal/

I was arrested in Glasgow, my arrest was filmed but the videographer has not yet come forward with the footage. It'd be great to get that film shown in court!

Hi Sean
We'll try!

Also make sure to get in touch with reshape glasgow or the july2005solidarity [at] yahoo.co.uk.

There's meetings in Scotland every Monday to discuss prisoner and defendent court and prison support, alternating between Edinburgh and Glasgow. (Tonight is at the Saorsa Social Centre in Glasgow, next week will be in Edinburgh!)

"July2005 Solidarity Group:
We are a group set up to support everyone who was arrested at or in connection with demonstrations against the G8. We support all those arrested during the anti-G8 protests in July 2005, whatever the reason the police have given for their arrest. We hope to act as a contact point for defendants to meet and work out strategies together and to find witnesses and to provide practical support for people with court cases."
