We met up and worked out some frame works for doing some film nights.

We thought that three nights at the Dancehouse one every month in October, November and December. And nights in the Basement cafe, one every couple of weeks.

We are going to meet up in 2 weeks and invite as many people as possible to get involved to find films, contact speakers, and contact groups who might want to get involved and do publicity.

Here are some themes that we thought would be good for the nights at the Dancehouse. As you will see these themes are linked to active campaigns

Dancehouse

October: Asylum, Migration, Fortress Europe. Featuring Digital Diaries film and Dallas Court film

November: Defy Id / Corporate Iraq, War on Terror and Civil Liberties

December: Ecological themes, Climate Change, Uranium, DU and the nuclear cycle, 9 Ladies, County Mayo, etc

Basement – October, November, December -

Mad Pride, Queer culture, Gender stuff, Weather Underground Film, Precarity and Casualisation, Animal Rights Jill's film and others,
