Time for some good news for once! Following a concerted mobilisation of public opinion, Southend borough Council have U-turned on their previously reported plans to destroy local statutory allotments  http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/regions/london/2005/07/319293.html . We had our summer show today with some great music and and a celebratory atmosphere, hopefully some photos will follow!
