1)Gymnich is the informal meeting of Foreign Ministers from the Member States, the High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and the Commissioner for External Relations. Gymnichs are held every six months, hosted by the Presidency. Held at Celtic Manor, Coldra Woods, Newport, Gwent, NP18 1HQ. 1-2 Sept 2005.

2) Justice and Home Affairs Informal -ministerial meeting of all the EU ministers and agencies of state repression and racism.
Newcastle Marriott Hotel Gosforth Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE3 5HN. 8 - 9 September 2005.

3)Informal Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN)
Gordon Brown chairs this one at Manchesters G-Mex centre /ICC.
Especially important given the G8's failure to even attempt to 'make poverty history'.

4)The overlapping Environment and Agriculture Informal Councils will be held between 9-12 September 2005 in Central London and will be hosted by Margaret Beckett, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
CLIMATE CHANGE AND GM CROPS!
During their stay Environment and Agriculture Ministers will visit a number of sites in London including Kew Gardens, London based food and drink manufacturers and the Natural History Museum .

5) Sports ministers will meet at Liverpools Crowne Plaza Hotel, 19-20th Sept.

6)Health and Social Policy ministers will meet at The Grove, Chandler's Cross, Hertfordshire, WD3 4TG 20-21st Oct 2005.

7) Development Ministers - responsible for refusing to 'make poverty history' will meet at The Queens Hotel, City Square, Leeds, right next to Rail Station, 24th-25th Oct 2005.

8) EU Heads of States / Governments will meet 'some where in UK' on 27th/28th Oct 2005!!! THE BIG ONE?

9) Gender Inequality ministerial Conference, 7 - 9 November 2005, ICC Birmingham. Can capitalism liberate women???

10)Ministers responible for the failure to move towards sustainable communities will meet in Bristol on 6th-7th Dec.

11) There will also be the
EU-Russia Summit: 4 October 2005, London.

Thank god (or any other divine institution of your choice) that they don't seem to come back to Scotland.
We really need a bit of a break here and recover!
