Why does the world "hate" America? What is the base of the growing "anti-Americanism" in most countries? An American filmmaker talks to the citizens of the world to find out.

Internationally Speaking Released!

Filmmaker Christine Rose enjoyed minor success with her first film Liberty Bound last year, but she

believes her second political documentary Internationally Speaking will go even further.

"Why do they hate us? It's a question explored by every news organization from CNN to The Daily Show," says

Rose, "Internationally Speaking goes right to the source to find the answer: the citizens of the

world!"

Rose worked with her own 'Coalition of the Willing,' a group of filmmakers from 10 different countries

including Sweden, South Africa, Belgium, and Turkey. Talking with average citizens, as well as experts like

Noam Chomsky & Michael Ratner, Rose gains insight to the sentiment of "anti-americanism" around the globe.

"We even talk to a man who's son was gunned down by US Forces in Iraq while waiting for a taxi," explains Rose

"It's footage generously given to us by Occupation Watch courtesy of Medea Benjamin."

Christine Rose believes that Internationally Speaking will reach many more people in mainstream America

than her first film.

"I did Liberty Bound virtually alone, but I know how much better a film can be with a collaboration of

talents and efforts. I believe Internationally Speaking will reach a broader audience because of its

diversity and information. Seeing people as people is what keeps the Reality TV industry alive - and that's

what Internationally Speaking delivers: real people giving real opinions and insight."

Rose claims the greatest challenge to an independent filmmaker is promotion and distribution.

"I found that with my first film that if people heard about it, they wanted to see it. Once they saw it, they

generally liked it. The trick is getting it into the audiences' consciousness or path of vision." says Rose.

Internationally speaking, Christine Rose sets her sights high and she doesn't disappoint.

The Internationally Speaking DVD is set for release on August 15th.
