Indymedia SUPPORTS police murderers

A | 01.08.2005 12:58

You can protest against anything you want, as long as it doesn't cause awkward ethical questions

In all seriousness, a group of people are trying to organise a demonstration against the continued brutality of the Brazilian police, who MURDERED 1,600 people last year.

And yet when we tried to advertise this on the news wire, alongside a million and one other protests against police brutality in a different country, the message was almost immeadiately removed.

The only obvious explanation of this is that Indymedia SUPPORTS the killing of children such as Jaqueline Duque Patriarcha, aged 13, gunned down by the cops last year.

The Brazillian embassy is at 32 Green Street, W1K 7AT. Marble Arch tube. If you are against state-sanctioned executions by the security forces, come and protest on Wednesday at 12:30pm.
