Workplace tagging

Loz | 31.07.2005 14:54 | Technology | Workers' Movements

Workers in warehouses across Britain are to be electronically tagged

Using US satellite and radio technology workers are being made to wear small computer devices which enable bosses to monitor every movement an emloyee makes, in some cases workers will have to wear a vest with a built-in computer that instructs them on the job. Excessive toilet trips, unauthorised breks etc. can also be moitored. Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Boots and Marks & Spencer among others are using the technology.
