Iraq the cause quotes bomb responsibility claims

n | 22.07.2005 12:03 | Anti-militarism | Globalisation | London | Oxford

A group called the Abu Hafs al Masri Brigade has claimed responsibility for London blasts in a statement posted on an Islamic Web site.

"We will strike in the hearts of European capitals, in Rome, in Amsterdam and in Denmark where their soldiers are in still in Iraq".

Posted today (Friday), the claimed responsibility for latest blasts targeting London's transport system. The group, Abu Hafs al Masri Brigade, also claimed responsibility for the July 7 bombings that killed at least 56 including the four suspected bombers.

The statement's authenticity obviously can not be verified and there has been doubt cast over the veracity of the group's past claims which apparently included claiming responsibilty for the 2003 blackouts in the United States and London that resulted from technical problems.

It is alleged that the group is al-Qaida-linked, whatever that means.

"While we bless these strikes, our next attacks will be Hellish for the enemies of God," said the latest statement. "

"our strikes in the depths of the capital of the British infidels our only a message to other European governments that we will not relent and sit idle before the infidel soldiers will leave the land of the two rivers," said the statement.

The "two rivers" refer to Iraq's Euphrates and Tigris rivers. Last Tuesday, another statement was issued in the name of the same group threatening "a bloody war" on the capitals of European countries that do not remove their troops from Iraq within a month.

"We will strike in the hearts of European capitals, in Rome, in Amsterdam and in Denmark where their soldiers are in still in Iraq pursuing their British and American masters," the statement added.

Whether the claims are true or not, hopefully this will put the invasion and occupation of Iraq back into the discussion relating to the attacks in London.

USUK genocide costs more than your tax money
USUK genocide costs more than your tax money

your time is up.

What is the point exactly of your silly item?

Millions objected to the attack on Iraq. Tens of thousands innocent civilians died and will keep dying from USUK DU and other illegal WMD.
How many relatives of the dead survivors will be driven to insanity by this PNAC profit effort ?
Enough to keep the arms cartel profits and fascist government going for some time to come.

Um ... "n", could you possibly source your unsubstantiated allegations? Isn't it funny that the multi-TRILLION dollar Western intelligence/security apparatus seems unable to find the operators of these "Sialmic websites"? (Actually, many of them have been traced back to places like Maryland, USA ...)

Mossad, Anyone?

what allegations

what allegations?

What I posted is mostly quotes from the two statements issued, one on tuesday and one on friday. I made no allegations and make no claim myself that the people who issued the statements have any connection with the bomb attacks (did you even read my artcile?)

So what is your problem? What is your point? What exactly is your comment for?

So what if the first statement claiming responsibility after the 7/7 bombing was issued on a website hosted in Maryland USA? How does that prove it was not posted by an Islamic organisation? How does it lead you to believe that it was Mossad or the CIA etc?

Indymedia is being over run by trolls with nothing better to do than waste peoples time with pointless stupid comments that add nothing of value to information posted or informed discussion. It is pissing me off.

The website was discredited, n

The first message was placed on a bulletin board whose URL was passed on to the BBC, who may have thought they were onto something. The host was then traced to Maryland, USA... (!) Hell - anyone could have written that "page"! Now another on the same board - maybe same person, same practical joker. Can't be taken too seriously. It even reads like a joke.
