Some sort of explanation about this action (when it happened, why it's on a lake etc...) would maybe make the pictures make a bit more sense.

this was a demonstration on the river aare from the city of thun to the capital bern. there were about 50 boats and around 200 activists engaged in the action. the theme was " G8 abschiffen" which can be either translated from swissgerman to english as shipping down g8 or better pissing on g8. well it doesn't really make sense in english...does it? anyway it was damn funny, later on we had a picnic in front of the bundeshaus (house of parliament) and later a reclaim the streets which was held on a place nearby the bundeshaus. we danced until 2 a.m., then the cops came by, attacked someone next to the soundsystem with pepperspray, fired with rubberbullets, took someone into custody and were generally acting like pigs, no sorry, idiots. they ripped off the power cable, so the party was over...
overall it was a fantastic day, but the end could have been better ;-)
