The event was officially opened by Patron of Oxford Pride Evan Harris MP and Oxford Lord Mayor – Bob Price. Oxford Pride has grown very much into a family and community based event with the village green games and the "traditional" Pride features such as the main stage and village stalls. Throughout the day hundreds of people from all backgrounds and cultures enjoyed the fine weather, entertainment and refreshments. Overall, a great day OUT! (Shame about the moaning neighbours who requested (demanded?) that the P.A. sound level be reduced to an inaudible level – you really do need to get out more!).
