Carnival

Photo 1 - looks like a carnvial with the bands.

Photo 2 - hmmm what’s the guy got the scarf up round his face for?

Photos 3 & 4 – Nice blockade. It did only last an hour or so though. Everything back to normal.

Well done people! Amazing week for the people of Scotland. So many laughs, has the woman who was hit with the cow been released from hospital yet?

Yeh - back to normal after all transport links around Gleneagles stopped for most of the morning.
Oh, and after 1 day where ALL of Edinburgh was shut down, and another when the main street was shut for the whole day. Well, back to normal eh now?

The people I met (bar one) hated the police over-action, hated the G8 and welcomed those of us from the south of the border with warm words, sometimes food and drink, but always with a lot of humour about what was going on. Pretty damn successful all-round considering the police-state nature of much of Scotland during the G8 and media attempts to portray protestors as 'cranky' 'extremist hate-groups'!

The trolls on Indymedia really make it so much more worthwhile popping over for a visit. DO keep it up guys, you give me a good chuckle every now and then.

Carinval Part 2

Sorry but i'm being serious here. It's a valid question guys.

How can it be classed as a "carnival" when one of your own trolls has the obligitory scarf up round the face? Is he "tollied up" looking for some trouble?

Now, despite what many people say it's not cold and doesn't rain in Scotland 24/7 12 months of the year!

It's a valid question I think.

Krop - Scotland is back to normal mate, are you really going to be a bit silly and dispute that fact?

But seriously

"How can it be classed as a "carnival" when one of your own trolls has the obligitory scarf up round the face? Is he "tollied up" looking for some trouble?"

The cops like taking pictures of people at protests, and putting them into files. Some people don't see any reason to make it too easy for them.

If its "obligatory", how come everyone isn't wearing one?

Yes, yes, I've heard the "if you haven't done anything wrong, you've got nothing to fear line.

Its a fairy story.

The cops look pretty "tollied up" - are they looking for trouble?

Why are you so bothered about a scarf? If he had been wearing a mask of a clown instead would that be ok with you? Are you part of the protestor fashion police? Perhaps he didn't want to be filmed by BBC News and have his mug up on the TV for his bosses/teachers/lecturers/enemies to see? Is this such a big problem for you? Haven't you heard of people being sacked for going on demonstrations and their bosses not agreeing with it?

Get a life mate. Find something to REALLY be bothered about. Such as that dog turd on your shoe.
