Closed Down?

Any conclusive proof it's been "shut" due to anything? Or is it just more inconclusive mince?

I suspect it was either a kid being stupid or a fascist trying to ruin the event...
I just left after the scare, I don't know if it will get going again or if the police will now want to blow up all suspect devices they can find in the park...
Of course this is only a scare and there is no bomb...

Abbeyfield Park Multicultural Festival

Of the many festivals in Sheffield that I have attended, Sharrow and Abbeyfield Park, along with Firth Park, tend to be the livelier ones due to the events, world music, multi-cultural and inter cultural nature of the stalls/music,etc. Also, in people terms, many do attend as it is mid-summer and generally warm.
Someone has said it was a pain for a bomb scare and the place to be evacuated at 4p.m. I suppose so, especially considering the weather and the fun of the event.
Yesterday Sat 9th July, I attended Stannington Carnival in Sheffield which began at 12.30 but which was closing down, almost entirely, by 5p.m. this was without a bomb scare too!
Stannington appeared to have some variety at least, the Scouts and the churches and antiques/craft stalls etc, but, in mid-summer I think they certainly miss a trick or two by closing down so soon.
Then again, the nature of the largely white working and middle classes is to go home for tea, or to go home from work at that time and prepare for the saturday night out at the boozer or the barbeque.
Sorry, some cynicism just crept in there, well, criticism actually but I must submit to the fact that we have to retain the Status Quo and our valuable British way of life......otherwise there'll be trouble..............in Abbeyfield Park no less!
Yeah, yeah, yeah. London, Birmingham, Abbeyfield Park......like night follows day - like just whatever the mainstream media say.
PAIN!
Festival aye.
