Quote for the Day

Andrew Sullivan | 07.07.2005 17:39

Come on then.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing? This is London. We've dealt with your sort before. You don't try and pull this on us.
Do you have any idea how many times our city has been attacked? Whatever you're trying to do, it's not going to work.
All you've done is end some of our lives, and ruin some more. How is that going to help you? You don't get rewarded for this kind of crap.
And if, as your MO indicates, you're an al-Qaeda group, then you're out of your tiny minds.
Because if this is a message to Tony Blair, we've got news for you. We don't much like our government ourselves, or what they do in our name. But, listen very clearly. We'll deal with that ourselves. We're London, and we've got our own way of doing things, and it doesn't involve tossing bombs around where innocent people are going about their lives.
And that's because we're better than you. Everyone is better than you. Our city works. We rather like it. And we're going to go about our lives. We're going to take care of the lives you ruined. And then we're going to work. And we're going down the pub.
So you can pack up your bombs, put them in your arseholes, and get the fuck out of our city."

you say ; "Because if this is a message to Tony Blair, we've got news for you. We don't much like our government ourselves, or what they do in our name. But, listen very clearly. We'll deal with that ourselves."

can you explain better what you mean and what you do to change things and the society in where you live. so that people don't have to hate as so much. you are living in a country which participate to kill innocent people around the world since ever.

????

We couldn't stop our lot screwing up your lot, what with their globalisation, imperialism and whatnot. I mean, so they bombed you and your lot so you are thinking, 'Why shouldn't we bomb them?'. Fair enough, but why don't you bomb the bastards at the top who are the ones actually responsible for all of this mess? Like that bunch at Gleneagles for example, or the bunch in Parliament Square and Downing Street? I know what you are thinking though, we have put up with them for so long we must surely be agreeing with them, but its not that simple. We live in one of the most successful and sophisticated democracies in the world, aka means of suppressing and exploiting people without too much unrest, and we are not allowed to vote on foreign policy or even choose our leaders, which means that bastards like Bush can ride roughshod over us. So, next time you do a bombing please think of us ordinary folk who mean you no harm and go for our masters instead. And please leave our lovely London buses alone!
