Oxford in Solidarity with Edinburgh - Audio and Photos

A demonstration was held at 6.00pm in Oxford city today in solidarity with the protests in Edinburgh. Up to 100 people turned out to hear speakers from various groups, a samba band and street singers. Pictures and audio are below.

Green Party Condemns Police

The Green Party of England and Wales today condemned the policing of the G8 protests.

GREEN PARTY SEVERELY CRITICAL OF POLICING AT PROTESTERS CAMP OUTSIDE
STIRLING

Green Cllr Matt Sellwood of Oxford stated yesterday: "Police behaviour here
amounts to a serious attempt to repress and crush legitimate protesters. The
methods used have clearly broken the law and the principle of transparent
justice. Only today I have been cordoned into my camp (twice) and cordoned
outside (once) - no reason other than preventing peaceful protests was
given, and the police gave no justification in law."
