What's happening in Glasgow?

Urgent-we need information about Glasgow. If you've got confirmed information or you are actually there, please update or correct.

I've just received a phone call saying that approximately 9 people were arrested for...being in a mini bus! All of them are accused of conspiracy and are being kept in a police station in Glasgow.
The same person has also relayed the information that, at the moment, the Glasgow Convergence Centre is surrounded by riot police and no-one is allowed in or out.
Could someone give us confirmation of what is happening?

Er...this true/not true/true business. I have spoken to those who were arrested, although it was in Perth. They were legal observers and were arrested for 'potential breach of the peace' while asleep in a minibus in a car park (!) and only released the following afternoon.

Police apparently searched them all and found no weapons, only bibs marked 'legal observer' - at that point the police decided it was a good idea to nick everyone. Following the arbitrary arrest of office workers in Edinburgh who were returning from their lunch break on Wednesday, it seems that if you happen to be within 100 miles of gleneagles and the cops don't like the look of your face, expect to end up in a cell this week.

Well they obviously weren't very good legal observers if they couldn't get themselves out of custody any quicker than that then, eh?
