The live 8 Concert had been a complete distraction (was this the intention?) from the politics of the G8 Summit and had "New Labour" neo-liberlism written all over it.

But dont lets give up - there is a place and time for music and the need to involve young people in our movement to change the world. At the next big protest lets make sure Live 8 does not hijack the media and lets get organised with our own POLITICAL Live Music Festival (how about nest year?). There are lots of musicians who are not happy witht the politics of Live 8 - perhaps they will help us?

Like I said bring back "Rock Against Poverty - 2006" - now there's an idea!!

P.S Why not turn up today at the Edinburgh Live 8 Concert with a gigantic banner saying "Where's the Politics?" or similar.
