Since the 1st of July, the biggest part of EKH is squatted again, because the contracts expired.

At friday evening there was the decision in the house to make public pressure on the ongoing negotiations through direct actions to support the demand to sell the house and keep it with a selfformed organisation and contracts.

On saturday the 2nd of July, the EKH participated with around 100 people at the commercial lesbiangaytransgender pride with transparents like “if you steal our house, we will take the city” , “space invaders against homophobia” and “we stay queer”. Also there was a birthday-cake with written on it “15 years of EKH” . This cake was opening for a surprise and a paintbattle began in the middle of the parade. After this the parade was left, nobody was harmed by police or organisators of the parade, the public was mostly friendly about the action.

The second action which took place on saturday was the squatting of one art-project in the center of vienna.
The “tower of living styles” was squatted with banners which said “EKH will stay” and “no eviction never”. Also a street theatre took place, around 50 people participated and spread flyers about the situation of the house.
The theatre was about fascist and EKH fighting and struggeling.

At the 3rd of July, a reclaim the streets took place in the inner city with around 80 people.
Streets were blockaded, the people changed the place after a while with the metro and loud shoutings and music instruments. The transparent “EKH will stay” was involved. Some car drivers reacted very agressive, some even tried to pass through. In the central place of the city finally the police occured and tried to stop the people. They arrested 3 people brutally and were using the sticks, also they robbed the transparent. The arrested people were from austria and slovakia, one of them a media activists.
Around 40 people ran in a smaller street nearby and were surrounded by special force WEGA, who controlled their id’s and let them go later. To show their power, they had also dogs with them, tourists passed and some conservative passing by attacked us also not only verbal.
One (or even more?) was stressed because the police wrote that he was masked, what is forbidden in austria for some years.
Some people were later in front of the police station to demand freedom for the arrested and left together after they were released.

The situation of the negotiations at the 4th of July was the following:
The selling of the house will happen since the 13th of July or they will not happen at all.
It is depending on the owner, who is a right wing, the strategies of the city and the power of the project, which means we need your solidarity to show up in the house as soon as possible and especially around the 13th of July.

As it was promised, the fest of the house is continuing till we achieved our demands.

wednesday 6.7. - discussionevent about neonazis and blood and honour scene in vienna/austria

thursday 7.7. UnZumutBar (open pub)

friday 8.7. midnightconcert with crust-bands

saturday 9.7. party with bavarian guests and concerts

sunday 10.7. barbecue in the backyard and films about ekh
