Local Opposition - please help

There has been today an increasing amount of trouble from local not happy about the presence of activists in the city

Initial support seemed to be there but as of today the attitude has been very different. It may well be people are just pissed off at the inconvenience they have had or they were upset at the damage done to some areas by those "free camping".

Either way be careful

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the city centre resembled a war zone at times yesterday.

Of course, activists will say it was entirely the fault of the police, but locals know that when there is no "carnival for full enjoyment", they can safely go about their business. Believe it or not, that is what the vast majority of people actually want.

I have demoed at Faslane, anti-poll tax, anti-fascist sometimes not so peacefully. I hate Bush and American imperialism. I think the whole Live 8 MPH thing is a big con from Blair and his pal Geldof

After yesterday tho' I'm with most Edinbuggers fed up with English ned polis fighting with European ned anarchists in oor toon

The G8 is in Gleneagles and that's where the protest belongs

So anarchists please be gone or the ned locals will really be p**sed off and chase you out.

They were out in force at Hogmanay 2 years ago and Murrayfield will give them the excuse to reclaim Princes Street - lost since the end of the football season
