Former BBC journalist and writer for Evening Standard after he was evicted from the Teviot building, Edinburgh University, where he was caught recording an anarchist planning discussion.
Gilligan gained infamy for alleging the British Govt. 'sexed-up' a dossier to make a case for invading Iraq, which he claims he sourced from Govt. scientist David Kelly (who went on to commit suicide).
