A selection of scratchy black and white images from the pen in on the 1st of July.

While those inside sweltered, clowns, crowds and the Infernal Noise Bregade provided solidarity and pressure for their release. The satire was lost on the police but enjoyed by those outside the pen, and we hope those inside too. Marchers from the MPH demonstration began to turn up and get annoyed by the police blocking the road where their buses were stuck, not allowing them to speed home away from the action. Luckily for the unhappy marchers the police eventually funnelled the penned into another smaller side street before eventually allowing them to go one by one.

...along with an accompanying article about my epic journey and day at the Make Poverty History demo, which I shall post later this coming week, but, first I have to get the films processed, as some of us aren't using digicams!

I just want to say a massive thank you to the Infernal Noise Brigade and all the other people who gave us solidarity while we were being held hostage in the cordon. It was greatly appreciated by all involved.

Solidarity!
