We live in a society increasingly controlled by NORMALIZERS. When was the last time you went for help regarding your girlfriend's rape, torture, poverty, handicap and received the reply, so I have that? So that happened to me? Was it yesterday? Our society is a culture of victim-on-victim gladiator sports. The death of our liberal leadership took with it the fabric of our ability to speak on topics compassionately. Instead, to even look for help is to invite brutality.
I was recently told by a Seattle poet that he was doing me a favor by befriending me without offering me any shred of dignity.
