Learning Without Limits – A Call for Autonomous Education

Edward Campbell | 19.06.2005 10:04 | G8 2005 | Education | Migration | Birmingham | World

This is a call to build an non-hierarchial/anti-authoritarian/libertarian/autonimous Education Network replacing for some the failed and collapsing system that indoctrinates in capitalist mode - Education With No Limits

Call to set up a campaign to facilitate and support an education network outside the brain-washing, oppressive, coercive, authoritarian, inadequate, collapsing limited capitalist education system.

Initially, for children (and their parents) who are already being educated at home and small local networks consisting of individuals who co-operate to educate small groups consisting of children their parents and others who teach or wish to be taught.

It is proposed that those who are already doing this or who are considering withdrawing their children from school to education them outside the capitalist state/private education system begin the process of widening existing local networks. Also it can facilitate linking individuals or families who are educating children on their own into a network, to share resources, ideas and share experiences.

It is proposed that those already involved with this form of education should be the initial motive force in forming the network. Other networks that exist are also encouraged to get involved as long as they adhere to anti-authoritarian principles and non-hierarchy.

It is also proposed to have a workshop at G8-rural Rural Convergence Centre to kick-start preparing the launch of a widespread campaign. This rural convergence centre is being organised on anti-autoritarian, non-hierarchical co-operative communities.

There are already some children and their parents who will be staying their who educate their children at home and are linked into to a small local network. They think this is a very good idea.

Or set up your own campaign in your own country/town/city

Or

Set up your own contact for your network in your village/town/country, and link into the network via indymedia. Local Indymedia centres can be used to post information as well as connected web-sites, through networks like dissent.org.uk, or set up your own sub-network.

Right now is the time to do it!

(This call is has not been made on behalf of dissent or any other network or group. It is the call of a few individuals who feel this network is now necessay beacuse of the failure of goverments to educate in a meaningful way)
