The decision to withdraw school bus services from Dwr Y Felin comprehensive school in Neath is meeting with resistance from within the community.
The plan to cut the service to zero will effect over 250 pupils from outlying villages ,many of whom will have to walk to school along busy roads .Some will face a daily slog of 6 miles a day in all kinds of poor weather and rain isone thing which is not rationed in Wales.
Members of Respect hav organised a public meeting to build the fightback to the proposed closure plan .
The meeting will take place at the Carnegie community centre , Evelyn Rd Skewen at 7.30 pm on wed 22 nd June.
Already hundreds have signed a protest petition and there are signs that the New Labour cllrs allowed the decision to be made are beginning to realise how inpopular the dcision was to withdraw the school bus service.
