LIVE 8 HYPOCRISY VULTURE'S EXPOSED "BONO"

Lord Nelsons Trousers | 18.06.2005 11:02 | Globalisation

Why does,nt Bono make a real stand and give half of his £102,000,000 to help clothe and feed the poor in Africa,

I'm quite sure he could struggle through on 51 million£££.
You are all very ALL BAD socialists for not pointing this out, or ignoring it, but,but ,but, you say he is raising awareness
Well next time you see an african child starving to death, don't give him some money to buy food, tell him you will raise awareness, that should help them no end.
The live 8 want to make an impact well here it is
set an example of the GREEDY GIVING TO THE POOR, COUGH UP YOUR MILLIONS.

Do you not realise how much more awareness is worth? £51m is not even a drop in the ocean. It has recently been published (FT) that all the money LIVE AID has been credited with raising over the last 20 odd years, is roughly equal to 0.5 percent of the amount reserved for overseas aid ANNUALLY by western governments (yes that INCLUDES the USA). Without the awareness raised by these people however, would so much have been forthcoming?

I have to admit to being a bit of a cynic myself though, especially about thick headed Bob G and his comments on selling of Live 8 tickets on e-bay. How stupid can he be, if he is daft enough to set the price at £zero, demand will exceed supply and the price will rise until equlilibrium is reached. I cannot get to the concert, and having been fortunate enough to win a ticket I was selling it and giving all the proceeds to charity. I think stupid bob could have rasied more than Bono's £51m contribution if he'd have priced the tickets properly.
