Individuals from the Campaign to Save Daycare in Bristol took over the main road through the centre of Bristol
on this their latest action.
It was prompted by the recent legal threats the social services
department of Bristol City Council made recently against the campaign. The
council objects to the campaign making boards with names and job titles of
staff carrying out the FACS (Fair Access to Care) scheme. Campaigners
claim that ‘The city council's loose interpretation of these criteria is being used to cut services to the elderly and
disabled in Bristol’.
More footage from the campaign coming soon, focusing on interviews with
Daycare users.
