Bristol - 6 July - G8 protest

Dee Senta | 15.06.2005 18:08 | G8 2005 | Globalisation | Repression | Social Struggles

Bristol G8 Dissent has called a public protest for 6 July – for all those who can’t get to Scotland; for all those who went to Scotland on 2 July for MPH and came back enthused; and for everyone who says enough is enough! Absolutely everyone welcome. And don't forget to DIY autonomously during the day.

Protest against G8 in Bristol: 6 July, meet 5pm outside the Hippodrome, St Augustine’s Parade, central Bristol.
(You can download a copy of the protest poster as a PDF file from here:  http://bristol.indymedia.org/newswire/display/23255/index.php - please copy up if you can and distribute as you can.)

In solidarity with the International Day of Action against the G8, and with those protesting in Gleneagles/Scotland!

Bring pots n pans, drums, banners, flyers, instruments, masks, attitude, humour & joy - LET’S MAKE SOME NOISE!

Whatever the media whitewash spun by the G8, capitalism continues to kill the planet, and it’s people. Let’s let Bristolians know that we oppose these puppets, their international profit-agendas, and all their bullshit (African debt relief? Yeah really…). Let’s show the links between the G8 and the global corporations - ripping off the world; creating poverty, unemployment, hunger, war & environmental destruction - enough is enough!

Oppose hypocrisy!
Oppose injustice!
Oppose capitalism!
Oppose the G8!
