Shayler to debate with O'Hara in London

Ex-MI5 and self-styled whistleblower David Shayler is to debate his career with arch critic Larry O'Hara At Conway Hall on Tuesday 21st June 2005 7pm

David Shayler ex-MI5 has agreed to debate with arch critic and editor of parapolitical magazine Notes from the Borderland Larry O'Hara later this month at Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London - nearest tube is Holborn. Tickets are 4.00 (discounted for unemployed) and can be ordered online or paid for on the night. Plenty odf room - all welcome. Contributions from the floor and cutting questions about the British Security Services and their mainland operations. The event is on 21st June 6.30 for 7pm start and further details are available on www.borderland.co.uk

I keep forgetting all my spook gossip. Is O'Hara the one everyone thinks is a secret service agent or the one who thinks everyone is a secret service agent? I can never remember. And something about the situationists and Home and...no, it's gone again.

Predictable as clockwork, a distraction comments.

1) David Shayler has never denied been in MI5--indeed he makes a career out of having been so

2) Larry O'Hara intends to question him closely about his career in MI5, and various inconsistencies in public statements concerning such.

Simple, straightforward, no conspiracy theorising. Which is obviously exactly what annoys anarchoteapot. We suggest interested parties come along and judge for themselves.

anyone wanting to go to this debate can order tickets at £4.00 (£2 to unemployed) on Notes from the Borderland website at www.borderland.co.uk or turn up on the night 6.30pm for 7pm start - this is the left's chanmce to ask questions of Shayler and what were Shayler/Machon doing spying on the left, eg Class War? If you want to raise any questions about the Security Services this is YOUR opportunity comrades.

Anarchoteapot's comments are just plain irrelevant

This debate at Conway hall between investigative journalist (not conspiracy theorist) Larry o hara and former Mi5 agent David shayler is about as far as Larry is concerned getting shayler to answer questions about his career in Mi5 and highlighting his inconsitent public statements concerning his activities in Mi5.
This after all is a man who has refused to answer detailed questions put to him years ago concerning Mi5 operations against Class war,green anarchist, Meibion glydwr and others. This is a chance to put him on the spot.

This is not a debate about conspiracy theories so please come along and find out!!!
