Wow ! You must be onto something.

I am amazed at the self-belief of you sad little people, you're so wrapped-up in doing your little bit for "peace" (we will leave aside the fact that your activities are almost certainly having the opposite of the effect you intended), that you really think that "investigating war crimes" is synonymous with "considering allegations".

There isn't an officer in the force that would leave himself so open by saying that he will "not be considering allegations" of any type. But don't get too excited yet, this consideration will do no more than conclude that there are no war crimes to be investigated and you have simply (once again) wasted police and us taxpayers' public money. Of course, this will then delight your small band of activists by giving them more ammunition to spout-off regarding 'repression', 'the right to protest' and 'complicity of the state' blah blah blah etc etc etc (continued page 94).

It is slow progress, but democracy is coming to Iraq and with luck other repressive middle-east regimes may follow, and you and your band of wasters cannot stop it. the arrogance with which you believe you know what is best for the people of Iraq is astounding. What is all comes down to, is that you are able to crawl back to where you came from at the end of the day, really believing that you have 'done your bit'. so you see, it is not about the people of Iraq, it is about your own self-image ..........really sad !!

Evidence please?

Great breakthrough but it would be helpful if you could detail the evidence set before Brighton Police that has made them change their tune.

Congratulations on your perseverance.

"the arrogance with which you believe you know what is best for the people of Iraq is astounding"

Well, you know. Thats why us small band of activists invaded and occupied Iraq and are busy building permanent military bases, imprisoning tens of thousands without charge, levelling whole towns flogging off every asset cheap to our corporate backers against the wishes of the Iraqi population.

Oh and I thought Edo might be on Crimewatch

Ignoring the fact that some contributors to this list do not have the capacity to recognise symbolism the demo was a real turning point yesterday. The police have been put in the position of being reminded they are public servants to all the people of Brighton and are answerable to us all.

Edo Intelligence? Oxymoron of the week.

How dare we try to dictate what is good for Iraq, that's the warmongers' job.

The comments by this 'enlightened' person as well as being dumb completely show that these pro-Edo types do not understand the people they are dealing with. Just thinking it's all down to ego and we will all get bored and go away and get jobs (which most of us have).

THe fact is that Edo have completely mishandled their little problem and have effectively been our 'publicity agents'. Why try to think of publicity stunts when Edo do things like take out injunctions, persuade the police to clamp down on us, etc. etc.

So come on Edo let's hear your side of the story in the press and media. How are you contributing to a greater world? Can you persuade people with the strength of your argument? Is subsidising you scroungers to the tune of £900 Million good value for money? You've got the money so I'm sure you can do better than you've managed so far. Jibes about getting jobs, strumming guitars, etc are not really the kind of arguments we find challenging so please try to do a bit better and give us a real challenge.

Must try harder.

In the early 80s when Bruce Kent and CND were (and still are) accused of being in the pay of the Russians. CND obviously denied this and offered a reward for anyone who had proof this was true. The reward is still unclaimed to this day.

I was told this story by Bruce Kent himself demonstrating outside the High Court at the Edo injunction trial.

You don't think Edo would try anything like this do you?

I always like the way some contributors to this list name themselves after the author or title of the last book they read. For example "The Cat in the hat".

Cute.

Regarding the disinformation in the linked hidden article

13.06.2005 08:59

Sorry, but who the hell is Garaham Rickman, and why should we believe his emails?

He tells us that:

" Of late DRS have been having a tough time, sales have not been good because of the successs of MBM. It seems that somebody decided that a little trouble for MBM could be good for DRS."

Which doesn't quite pan out in the real world:

"On November 5th, DRS Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:DRS - News) reported record financial results for the second quarter and six-month period ended September 30, 2004. Fiscal 2005 second quarter results included significant gains in revenues, operating income, net earnings and earnings per share. A second quarter record in new orders for products and services increased funded backlog at the end of the period to an all-time high."

and

"For the first six months of fiscal 2005, DRS posted record revenues of $628.8m, 68 percent above revenues of $373.4m for the same period last year. Higher revenues for the first half were primarily attributable to the addition of sales from the IDT acquisition operations and organic growth primarily associated with the company's Naval display workstations, ship sensor systems, data link and other communications systems, Naval electric drive and other power systems, U.S. and international army tactical computer systems, airborne, ground-based and maritime thermal imaging systems, and infrared assemblies product lines."

It took me a whole minute to google that..........

The suggestion that the campaign is run against one arms company to help the failing sales of another arms company is laughable for anyone who has met the injunctees or others who operate under the smashEDO banner, or been to any of the smashEDO actions or meetings.

Neither does "Alan Permain" appear as am officer or director of DRS Technologies:

 http://www.drs.com/corporateInfo/directors.cfm
 http://www.drs.com/corporateInfo/officers.cfm

In fact the only "Alan Permain" that google comes up with is a lecturer at a British University ...............

It appears that the smashEDO banner is having some success if stories like this have to be invented to diss the campaign.
