G8 Protest - advice wanted

Charles | 10.06.2005 16:36

We are small group coming up from London and are looking for advice re a visit to protest at the G8

This will be our first visit to an event of this kind and we are looking for a few tips.

Hotels - Do any of the local ones have a spa so we can relax in the evening

Getting there - Easyjet seems to offer the best prices on flights, any other deals around ?

Restaurants - Is anyone putting together a list of really good restaurants in the area. With a good wine cellar as a preference.

Parking - where's the best place too leave the hire car during the day ?

Shopping - The ladies will probably get bored after the first day so how far are we from a good shopping centre ?

Evening entertainment - We're looking for somewhere smart with the right crowd and no riff raff, any suggestions ?

Any other ideas welcome - see you there.
